On August 8, already for the fifth consecutive year, the long-expected Refonda Peetri Race was held in Rae district. A few days before the start it was clear that the number of people wishing to register for participation in the most popular race exceeds the established limit of 1000 runners, including 18 athletes of Refonda Baltic, the name sponsor of the race, who took the third place in the team event.
This year, 460 persons participated in ten-kilometre race and more than 500 participants went for a 5- kilometre run.
According to the athletes of Refonda Baltic team, this year the race arrangements differed from the previous ones, since music groups, DJs, friendly volunteers and numerous fans supported the runners at every kilometre. A huge LED screen was installed in the starting area, displaying the most striking moments of previous races, enabling to watch a live broadcast of the warm-up and the concert, as well as the countdown in seconds to the start.
The name sponsor of the race, Refonda Baltic, thanks all participants and volunteers of the event and welcomes everybody to the next race on August 7, 2021! See you!
